Gospel Artiste Esta: God’s Wisdom Guides Us In Our Dealings

Esosa Esther Edougha a gospel artist who is the band member Sinach, SLIC answer often asked: “should gospel music like secular music be seen as an exchange of talent or service for a price?”.

In her answer ester made it clear one can’t pay God of the given talent, she also state that alot happen to make a record be it secular or gospel.

“Some people do music or play music for a living, so they need to be paid for their skill and time. But that’s not to say that I’ll put a ridiculous price on my singing because we can’t pay for the gift God gave us if we were to. I’ll say the wisdom of God guides us in our dealings and helps us to avoid causing scandal to Christendom,” Efosa Esther Edougha.

Demonstrating her singing talent from a young age, she began singing in choirs as early as 1998. In 2008, she officially became a member of Sinach’s band. Her time with the band helped her gain knowledge and experience in the gospel music industry, and she is able to go solo with her musical career.

“I believe in Nigeria” which was her first single released in 2007 and within the same year signed by Hex Records. Esther has made other releases and EPs, including “You Lord”, “Good God”, and “I Am Strong In The Lord” released in 2019.

“I haven’t always wanted to go solo. I’ve been in the choir since 1998. So, I’ve always written songs for the choir. I have been a choir coordinator twice, and I love being in a choir, even though I still have a solo career. So, it’s the same.” Efosa Esther Edougha.

She also announced the release of a new song in an upcoming concert this year and also an album release in 2025.
