Chuck Crain, Southern gospel music icon, is set to perform at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, a concert scheduled for free on Monday, August 26 at 7 p.m. . Everyone will be allowed entrance for the concert, even though entrance is free, there’s room for donations to aid Crain’s music ministry and will be greatly appreciated.

Since 1998, Chuck Crain has been a prominent artist in Branson, Missouri, as a member of the Presleys’ Country Jubilee Show. He plays the role of a member of the Southern Gospel  Music Quartet and also as a backup singer to other various artists.

Crain’s musical journey began with the Blue Jacket Choir in San Diego while still in service with  the U.S. Navy. In 1976, Chuck Crane became a full-time member of The Mid-South Boys Quartet. He later joined The Blackwoods, where he participated on programs like “The 700 Club” and “The PTL Club,” and premiered internationally. After departing from The Blackwoods in 1990, Crain established The Heartland Quartet and also did backing vocals for Wayne Newton.

In December 1997, Crain collaborated with Gary and Steve Presley to create the Southern Gospel Quartet for the Presleys’ Country Jubilee Show, which features a 30-minute weekly segment on RFD.
