Pastor Kunle Ajayi (born 16 June 1964; Mushin, Lagos State, Southwestern Nigeria) is a Nigerian gospel singer, saxophonist, song writer, televangelist, and also the music director of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
He celebrated his 60th birthday Thanksgiving prayer service on June 16, 2024, at the Redemption City of God in Ogun State.
Education
Pastor Kunle Ajayi attended Idioro Local Council Primary School Mushin for Elementary Studies, after which he proceeded to Eko Boys High School for his middle school and secured for himself the West Africa Certificate (WAEC), after which he studied music at Adiniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin, Oto-Awori, Lagos State, Nigeria. He also proceeded further to study music at the Royal College of Music in London.
Music and Career
Pastor Kunle has greatly contributed to the Nigerian gospel music industry. He started playing the saxophone in the early 80s but had to quit playing the saxophone due to a health-related issue that almost led to the damage of his larynx, a lung-related disease.
Additionally, Shingo Maeda, the sales and general marketing manager of Yamaha Music Gulf FZZE, gave him a shiny metallic saxophone and signed an endorsement agreement with the company to represent their brand.

Along with a couple of friends, Pst. Kunle Ajayi founded “The Ambassadors,” for which he produced his first album, “Kunle Ajayi Classics Volume One.”.
In the year 1991, he was called upon to serve as an assistant pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
He became a full pastor the next year after rounding up a one-year program at Faith Bible College.
Marriage and Children
Pastor Kunle Ajayi met his wife, OluwaToyin Ajayi, whom he met at the church; they both became friends and later got married at the Apostolic Church of God. They are blessed with two children.
