When you hear the phrase “When men pray,” what’s the first thing that comes into your mind?In my opinion, it triggers a thought of expectation of something beyond the ordinary. But can such an outcome be achieved from just any man? NO! it can only be achieved from the prayer of a righteous man as stated in the book of James 5:15-16when men pray“and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”This verse is an indication to all men who wish to achieve a significant result in their prayer life of the importance of living a righteous life.In Paul’s letter to Timothy, as written in the book of Timothy 2:8 it says.“I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”As you can see, this is a call to all men to wake up from their slumber and take charge over their life circumstances and that of those around them with power and authority in prayer, raising up holy hands, without wrath and doubt. NOTE: The emphasis on righteousness is “Lifting up Holy hands.”

What To Expect When Men Pray

You are bound to expect many extraordinary working powers of God , when righteous men pray. Let’s source out some things to expect when men pray.“Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” Jame 5:13-15“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. ” 2 corinthians10:4-.If the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, what then is that weapon? The answer is prayer.According to the book of James 5:13-15 and 2 Corinthians 10:4-6, I am able to list out some things to expect when men pray. They are as follows.1. Freedom from sickness and afflictions of all kinds.2. Forgiveness of sin.3. The pulling down of strongholds.4. Casting down imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.5. Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Praying men are those righteous and mighty men of God whose prayers have produced extraordinary results. I mean the kind of result you expect when you hear the phrase “When men pray.”This list comprises a few men of prayer in the Bible.
