Zambia Mourns Gospel Artist Mathew Ngosa with Concert of Tributes

A Concert was held in Lusaka, Zambia in honor of the late Mathew Ngosa, a gospel artist. He passed away at the age of 46. The concert was filled with Zambian gospel artists, government officials, friends and fans gathered together, to pay him last respect. The concert was held at Praise Christian Church.

Ngosa’s elder brother Boyd, who is also a musician popularly known as BJ led the Show performing Ngosa’s favorite songs. Mathew Ngosa is known popularly for his top music like “Ukulolela,” “Umutima Wandi,”  and “Ndakunkula”.

His Music career started while in high school before he later joined the Christ Ambassador Choir and also performed with The Ezma Brothers.

The death of Mathew Ngosa was as a result of liver cancer which claimed his life just a day before a check up in India as scheduled.

As people from different works of life gather to pay tribute to Ngosa, tributes were made in admiration to his contributions to the zambian gospel music industry and how his demise affected the Zambian communities.

Condolences were also extended from both Zambian active and former presidents to the berieved.

The concert ended with a brief recap on the role their mother Samaria Maswela played in their music career Ngosa’s song “Umutima Wandi”.
