Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, is scheduled to receive an honorary degree from Ekiti State University during its 28th Convocation ceremony.
Professor Edward Olanipekun, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, announced that Pastor Adeboye will be granted a Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa), and Folorunso Alakija, one of Nigeria’s wealthiest women, will also receive a Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa).
According to the vice chancellor, “The breakdown of the graduands shows that a total of 91 bagged First Class, 3262 for Second Class Upper Division, 6411 for Second Class Lower Division, 747 for Third Class and 4 for Pass,”
The vice chancellor also mentioned that more than 10,000 students will be graduating from the University, receiving various qualifications such as diplomas, first degrees, postgraduate diplomas, and higher degrees.
