Introduction
Abolaji David Banjoko is a Nigerian gospel musician, saxophonist and a song writer popularly known as Beejay Sax, a prominent icon to the Nigeria gospel music industry distinguished by his unique voice and sound, Born (30th September, Ogun State, South Western Nigeria). He is a graduate of Ogun State University, where he studied mechanical engineering. He is a member of the Redeemed Christian CHurch Of God (RCCG).
Career
Music
Triggered by a strong passion for music, Beejay started music at an early age. He started music during his secondary school days, and he was a music student while in the junior class where he took interest in saxophone and was mentored by Pastor Kunle Ajayi, a saxophonist. Beejay started music professionally in the year 2009.
Music to Beejay Sax was beyond talent but a duty and ministry, which he took upon himself to fulfill. Beejay Sax is popularly known for his live recording “High Praise”.
Beejay Sax Live
Beejay Sax Live is a live event by Beejay Sax. It is an event scheduled on yearly basis to entertain and enjoy Godly music with individuals from different works of life.
Online Praise Party
Online Praise Party is a gospel online party hosted by Beejay Sax during the Convid 19 pandemic with the aim to spread the gospel despite restriction as a result of the lockdown.
He shared his intentions to host the party on 27th March, 2020 via his instagram handle.
The 1st Edition of the online party was held on Saturday 28th March, 2020 via Youtube, Facebook and Instagram, since then the online party has been held continuously until Saturday 6th July, 2024, the grand finale of the liv party was held. Artists featured include the likes of Kene Bukky, Tosin Bee, Dare Justified and Bolaji Big.
Beejay Sax alongside Laolu Gbenjo were invited by the government of Lagos State to perform at the Oniikan and the Mainland Isolation Centre, spreading the gospel through music during the pandemic.
Marriage and Children
Beejay Sax is married to his wife Modupeoluwa. They were joined into holy matrimony on 23rd September, 2017. They are blessed with two Children.
